Medial branch blocks are used to relieve pain from the small nerves that carry pain signals from your spine to your brain. These injections deliver a local anesthetic to temporarily block pain, helping to diagnose the source of your pain and potentially provide relief. The goal of these injections is to determine if a Medial Branch Radiofrequency (nerve ablation) would benefit you for more long term relief.
